Giuseppe Segreto-Guercio

Ciao! I’m Giuseppe, a.k.a “zeppe”. An Italian-American Background Painter, Designer, and Visual Development Artist for animation from New Jersey. I am a versatile artist skilled in background design, background painting, set design, prop design, color keys, and keyframe illustration. I have recently wrapped up on working as a Visual Development Artist at LAIKA studios, on their upcoming stop-motion feature, Wildwood. I am seeking opportunities in background design, background painting, and visual development!

My inspiration derives from my roots in Sicily, Italy where I spent many summers and the nostalgia of growing up in New Jersey. As well as my interests in the electronic dance music scene, cinematography, and cooking. Outside of work, I have a few personal passion projects I would like to develop into a tv series or feature, plein-air painting, watching films, and learning to cook more delicious food.

My workflow includes blocking out environments in Blender, drawing in procreate, and digitally painting in photoshop.
